Densimetric Tables

The DT Densimetric Table is an equipment that is used for product separation by density. To achieve this separation, a certain homogeneity and a clear density difference between the products to be separated is required.
The equipment basically consists of a box powered by two vibrators. On the bottom deck, a perforated plate with a certain inclination, enables the air flow coming from the bottom.
The rest of the system consists of fluidification fan, de-dusting fan, cyclone or filter cartridges to collect volatile particles and connecting lines between the elements.
The classified material is fed into the top of the unit, uniformly distributed across the width, either by a belt or via a vibrating feeder, falling on the tilted tray.
By the effect of the vibration and the air flowing from the bottom, the higher density material is transported due to the vibration upward and the lighter goes downward due to the fluidification.
Depending on the type of product characteristics, and to achieve optimal separation, it is possible to make regulations on the following parameters:
- flow and air pressure in fluidification and dedusting fans
- Inclination of the perforated plate
- Air distribution through the tray
- Amplitude of vibration
- Adjustment of the overflow gates for high a low density materials
This type of equipment is used in fields such as glass recycling, metals and non-metals recycling, in plants for refining compost, etc .
